Speech and Language Therapy Services
Our therapists work with individuals who have experienced difficulty relating to their speech, language, swallowing and eating as a result of a brain or spinal injury, or neurological condition.
Our Speech and Language Therapists provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to help individuals overcome their communication and swallowing difficulties to improve their overall quality of life. We also provide information, education and guidance on effective communication strategies and safe food and fluid consistency.
We have expertise in the following areas:
Dysphagia
Inability to swallow food and/or drink safely.
Dysphasia
Difficulty with language including verbal expression, understanding, reading and writing.
Dysarthria
Muscle weakness resulting in difficulty to use the muscles of speech and voice effectively.
Dyspraxia
Difficulty with planning of motor speech.
Dysphonia
Voice disorder.
Cognitive-Communication
Difficulties
Social language skills impaired due to the cognitive processes involved.

Diane Kruger
Associate Speech & Language Therapist
Diane qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2008 and has worked in specialist brain injury and community rehabilitation. Diane is experienced in treating adults with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. She has worked at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Diane specializes in assessing and treating swallowing and communication disorders, including tracheostomy management and alternative communication methods. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

Fees for individual assessment and therapy sessions are noted below. Therapy sessions are based on 50-60 minutes.

Cancellation Policy: Clients are requested to provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice of any cancellations. The full fee is payable if insufficient notice is given.
